It's over to royal assent

The Safe and Regulated Sports Betting Act is expected to be sent by the Senate to the Governor-General's office for royal assent, and we have some news of our own

Barring the well-worn cliché of any unexpected late developments, the Senate should give its blessing to Bill C-218 later today and send it to the Governor-General’s office for final approval of the amendment to the Criminal Code.
