The Toronto-based Responsible Gambling Council has released its 2022-23 Annual Report, so Shelley White returned to the Gaming News Canada Show presented by Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.  The RGC’s CEO addressed the highlights of the latest report, including the council’s work in Ontario’s new regulated sports betting and gaming industry, the importance of continuing to evolve when it comes to education around gambling responsibly, and what lies ahead for the organization and its work with various stakeholders.

Peter Scott, the former Turner Sports and Warner Media executive who joined Play Anywhere in April as chief strategy officer, made his maiden appearance on the GNCS to talk about his journey in the media industry, beginning with CNN and then moving into sports and digital media. Scott explained Play Anywhere’s role in assisting sports bodies such as La Liga – the Spanish soccer league – with interactive media, the opportunities in the space to bring together sports media, sports data, sports betting, and more. And he also delivered his thoughts on the potential uses of artificial intelligence in the sports, entertainment and media worlds.

Osler’s Gaming Practice Group has the insight needed to help clients navigate the complex and evolving legal landscape of the gaming industry.

Osler’s position as a trusted advisor in the gaming industry has been built over years of service to operators, suppliers and gaming authorities.
