The Canadian Gaming Association today raises the curtain on the first episode of the Get to Know Canadian Gaming, a series of podcasts aimed at informing and educating stakeholders in – and newcomers to – the business of legal gambling.

On the inaugural podcast of this new series, Canadian Gaming Association president/CEO is joined by IPSOS senior VP Scott Morasch and director Trevor LeBlanc for a conversation on the results of a recent poll commissioned by the CGA on channelization in Alberta and British Columbia.

Conducted between February 24 and March 24, the poll presents the results from surveying 1,319 online gaming players in Alberta and another 1,312 in B.C. who had placed a bet on an online casino game or made a sport wager over a three-month period, meeting the following criteria:

  • Bet on online casino games or sports online within the past 3 months

  • Mentioned that they have played on at least one valid online gambling website or app that offers real money bets

  • Out of the valid websites/apps listed, they must have gambled/wagered on at least one of those websites/apps within the past 3 months

Burns will participate in a couple of panels Wednesday at the Canadian Gaming Summit. On the same day, Morasch and his IPSOS colleagues Mariam Nabilsi and Simone Wilson will address on their panel “Inside the Player Experience: What Emotional Connection has to do with Customer Value”.
