These are busy times for Soft2Bet and its ToonieBet brand in Ontario’s regulated sports betting and online gaming industry.
Last month, the Ottawa Senators introduced ToonieBet as the NHL club’s new official online casino partner. Last week, Soft2Bet made available to Ontario bettors its new sportsbook via the ToonieBet brand, having launched its online casino app a year ago.
While the North American gaming industry gathers this week in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., for the SBC Summit Americas, Soft2Bet product boss Yoel Zuckerberg connected from Cyprus with your humble host for the latest episode of the Gaming News Canada Show. Zuckerberg, who left Aspire Global in the fall of 2022 to become Soft2Bet’s chief product officer, talked about his 20 years in the gaming business going back to his time as a customer service representative. That experience, he told us, has been invaluable in working with the product team at Soft2Bet to address the needs and wishes of ToonieBet players.
Our conversation also included Soft2Bet’s decision to do business in Ontario, differentiating Tooniebet from the major brands in the province’s legal marketplace, some thoughts on the partnership with the Senators, its interest in becoming a player in Alberta’s new market, and what gets the creative juices flowing every day.
